a Garden soiree at Albion farm gardens
An editorial brought to life by Lily and Mae
For six months, I had this vision in my head — a staircase completely covered in flowers. Something soft and wild and romantic. Roses spilling down sandstone steps, like they’d grown there on their own, but I could never find the right venue, and I wasn't going to settle for anything less than a magical dream.
In early October, peak wedding season, I visited Albion Farm Gardens in Woodville. I met with Kate, the most beautiful and dedicated woman I have ever met. I was in awe of her beautiful property. I walked through the gardens for the first time, completely overwhelmed.
It was really important to me that the flowers complemented the venue, that they worked together to tell a magical story. I wanted to work with the already incredible features and landscapes of the property. The heart of the shoot was The Muse, our ceremony feature. A floral installation cascading down the property’s sandstone steps. We used masses of rambling local garden roses, letting them fall naturally and fill the space with movement and texture. It was structured, thoughtful, poetic, and in my biased opinion- took your breath away.

It was a whirlwind to pull together, but honestly, it felt like it was meant to be. Shoots like this remind me why I do what I do — for the stories, for the beauty, and for those fleeting, golden moments where everything comes together just right.
The property is tucked away, quiet, and full of special, heartfelt moments. You can feel the romance sprinkled over every inch of the property. There's a gentle, timeless feel to the whole property that exudes love, it is the perfect venue.
For the ultimate garden party vibes, we transformed a stand-alone water fountain into a floral champagne feature — overflowing with champagne and blooms. It became a playful, luxurious moment; the trickling water and the afternoon light breaking through the clouds were incredibly beautiful.
The two tablescapes styled with a romantic touch, they featured layered linens, dreamy textures, and our in-house designed stationery — hand-drawn floral motifs and delicate type that mirrored the garden’s beauty. Every detail told part of the story. We added a champagne tower but with a twist, including a hand drawn floral table cloth and a vintage champagne bucket full of flowers, wrapped in champagne coupes.
