The brief unfolding

Some weddings come together because two people are just on the same page from the very first conversation. Ben and Tess's February wedding at Redleaf was that.

Tess and Ben had seen a previous wedding I'd done at Redleaf and came to me saying — I want that. Then we sat down for our final consult, pulled up our Pinterest boards, and they were almost identical.

The Palette

Soft, buttery lemon roses. An abundance of lush green, blush pink and white hydrangea. Fluffy cosmos everywhere. Light, fresh, soft and romantic, a palette that feels like an Aperol Spritz on the Amalfi Coast. Late Summer afternoons belong at Redleaf Wollombi.

The Details

Ben and Tess had a big wedding, friends travelling from near and far, a party, and a good atmosphere was important to them. Kyle from Silent Shout delivered on the dance floor, and the feast from Ciao Pepis was, as always, perfect. We provided parasols for the girls to fully live their Italian villa fantasy at Redleaf.

For their recovery brunch the following morning, we repurposed all of the florals, tucked into little baskets and dotted throughout the fountain garden at Redleaf. It was a long weekend that felt like one continuous celebration. These celebrations are my favourite, because you can feel the love everywhere you go.

Their planner and coordinator Angie from Angie Marie events told me that Tess kept saying throughout the weekend, "I can't believe Lily, she is amazing."

The Flowers

We filled the ceremony with Flowers spilling out of pots and baskets and dripping off plinths. In reception, there was not a single bare patch on the tables, and that was entirely intentional. It was abundant and lush and a little bit over the top. Filled with fluffy flowers, ivory candles and LED lamps.
